Atlanta pest control

We Georgia's top experts in rodent control. We are not a typical Atlanta rat removal or pest control company. We don't treat rats or mice like insects, because they are not - they are mammals! You can't just use poison to get rid of them, like you can with insects. Unlike most Atlanta pest control, we focus on complete and permanent solutions. We don't just use poison every month. We solve your rodent problem forever, by following these steps:

  • Inspect the entire house, ground to roof, and the attic
  • Seal shut all entry areas, no matter how small, with steel
  • Set a dozen or more rat or mouse traps in the house and attic
  • Remove all rodents as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more caught, we're done
  • When necessary, we clean rodent droppings, replace insulation, and repair chewed electric wires

Atlanta Rodent Removal Tip:

How do I clean house mouse feces out of my attic?
Mice are one of the most common pests to invade people's homes, and they're able to wreak a lot of chaos in the short time they spend infesting your house. Yet even after going through all the trouble of removing them, there's still a lot left to do. One of the most important tasks is removing the mouse feces and restoring your attic to the way it was. This is a vital final step to mouse removal, as their feces contain and spread diseases, can lead to mold, damage your insulation, and can even attract other mice. Here are some steps you can take to remove the feces and get your attic back to normal.

Step One: Take Safety Precautions
Even though the mice aren't around anymore, their diseases are. Animal feces contains a lot of bacteria and viruses, and these can lead to salmonella, HPS, and other illnesses. To prevent an unnecessary illness, you're advised to wear gloves and a face mask while cleaning the attic. This prevents you from coming into direct contact with the feces, or inadvertently inhaling feces particles in the air. rodent trapping

Step Two: Remove the Feces
Once you're wearing gloves and a mask, you can proceed to physically remove the feces. This step is pretty straight forward in itself, as you can simply use a vacuum cleaner to suck up all the droppings. You might not be able to reach some small corners of your attic so you'll have to pick up the droppings in these areas by hand.

Step Three: Dispose of Infected Items
Odds are that the feces weren't lying around in the center of the attic, and that it actually touched and infected some stuff. While it's hard to get rid of things you own, you should try to dispose of infected items if they aren't valuable or cleanable. You should also remove any material the mice may have used for shelter, like boxes, fabrics, or even infected or damaged insulation.

Step Four: Disinfect the Attic
Once everything visible has been cleaned up, you should start killing off all the remaining bacteria. Fogging machines or enzymatic cleaners are going to be the best ways of disinfecting your attic, but we know that not everybody has these lying around their home. That's why you can also opt to use plain old water and bleach, but you have to ensure every inch of your attic gets cleaned.
